Construction of Water Tank with Solar Energy System Project
Location: Hali Village, Dakhla Governorate, Yubuki District, Djibouti
The Hali region is in urgent need of sustainable water access solutions. This proposal is submitted to request funding for the construction of a 10,000-liter water storage tank with a solar-powered extraction system as part of the larger Village Complex Construction in Hali. This initiative is designed to enhance community resilience by addressing critical water shortages and supporting the well-being of 1,500 direct beneficiaries. Your support will ensure a long-term and sustainable impact on this vulnerable community.
The Hali region suffers from severe water scarcity, with limited clean and sufficient drinking water sources. Previously, residents faced significant hardship due to water shortages before the Ethar Well was drilled. However, without proper storage and an efficient extraction system, access to safe drinking water remains a challenge. This project aims to enhance the capacity of the Ethar Well by constructing a reinforced 10,000-liter water storage tank and installing a solar-powered extraction system. This intervention will ensure a sustainable and long-term solution for water access, improving community resilience and reducing health risks associated with waterborne diseases.
Project Objectives
1. Construct a 10,000 10,000-liter water Tank
• Increase water storage capacity for the Hali community.
• Ensure consistent water availability for residents.
2. Install a Solar Energy System for Water Extraction
• Provide sustainable and energy-efficient water extraction.
• Reduce reliance on manual water pumping or fossil fuels.
3. Improve Access to Safe Water for at least 1,500 People
• Reduce time spent fetching water.
• Increase beneficiary satisfaction with water availability.
